Receive support of up to 20% of the total costs for electric energy storage equipment

The State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic is launching, from 28 April 2025, a new subsidy programme offering financial support for the construction of energy storage facilities with a minimum capacity of 1 MW. The subsidy is intended for businesses of all sizes, municipalities, regions, contributory organisations, churches, and other entities.

The call for the programme RES+ No. 5/2025 – Renewable Energy Storage was announced under the European Union’s Modernisation Fund.

Who can apply for the subsidy?

  • Existing and future holders of a licence for business activities in the energy sector (electricity generation)

What is the subsidy intended for?

  • construction of new battery energy storage systems
  • installation of equipment for hydrogen energy storage (including equipment for reconversion back to electricity)
  • construction and modernisation of pumped-storage hydroelectric power plants
  • deployment of innovative energy storage technologies

What will we handle for you?

In addition to the subsidy application itself, we will also manage all related paperwork and formalities. This includes:

  • submission of the subsidy application
  • project documentation
  • application for connection to the distribution grid
  • energy assessment
  • preparation of the battery storage project
  • communication with authorities (including administration)

Maximum support

max. 25% of the call allocation per project

Method of financing

ex-post

Support may also be requested for projects that are not yet completed and were started after 1 January 2024, provided that the equipment has not yet been put into operation.
